Focus on GRIT Cardio

GRIT cardio is specifically designed to focus on your cardiovascular fitness which burns calories faster than most HIIT workouts as you increase speed throughout the session.

The workout involves using bodyweight exercises which are highly intense and challenging but necessary to get you fast results that increase your fitness levels immediately.

Although GRIT cardio is an intense body weight exercise, it uses energetic music to motivate you through the session so you stay on track and focused. You also have professional trainers guiding you through the class to edge you on and support you until you finish.

What are the benefits of GRIT cardio?

  • Accelerated boost in cardiovascular fitness levels
  • Fast results in a short period of time
  • Rapid calorie burn
  • Builds lean muscles
  • Increases your speed and focus
  • The workout is only 30 minutes long
  • Improves your aerobic fitness
  • It’s a full body workout
  • You don’t need any equipment

What exercises do you do in GRIT cardio?

High knee runs, burpees, mountain climbers, tuck jumps and squat jumps. These are just some of the moves you can expect in a LES MILLS GRIT workout.

How many calories do you burn during GRIT cardio?

In a 30-minute GRIT workout you can expect to burn around 400 calories – and that’s just the beginning. LES MILLS GRIT puts your metabolism into overdrive and generates accelerated changes in body composition.

What do you need for a GRIT cardio workout?

You will most likely need a towel and water for when you complete the workout and you should wear comfortable non-restrictive workout gear. Please speak to the instructor for more help.

How often should I do GRIT cardio?

While it’s easy to get hooked on the endorphin high of HIIT, you shouldn’t do LES MILLS GRIT more than twice a week. Research reveals optimal results come when you limit the time you spend with your heart rate above 90 percent maximum to 30-40 minutes per week (which equates to two LES MILLS GRIT workouts).

Can I do GRIT cardio while I am pregnant?

No, women are advised to reduce their exercise intensity during pregnancy so high intensity interval training is not recommended. We suggest talking to your doctor if you have any more questions about exercising while pregnant.
