When your child attends a swimming lesson they are in our care.
Our swimming teachers are responsible not only for their safety in the water, but also out of it whilst they are on the poolside.
We understand that children need to go to the toilet, but if they do require it during a lesson, then the parent needs to inform the swimming teacher, especially if they are not going to return to their lesson.
We have had instances recently where this has not happened, which has led to staff members looking for a child and emergency procedures being implemented.
