We are operating our normal pool timetables. From Monday 1 April to Sunday 14 April 2024 we will be operating our Easter school holiday pool timetable.

Our swimming pool lockers can only be secured by a small padlock. You can either bring your own or purchase a small combination padlock from us for £3 from reception. In the spirit of ensuring our facilities are available for everyone, if any locker remains padlocked at the end of the day, then these will be opened and the contents of the locker stored in our lost property.

What is it?

Aqua Fit classes are high energy and fun in which you perform a range of aerobic moves in the pool shown to you by our motivational instructors! No matter what your age, ability or experience aqua fit is an inclusive activity suitable for everyone. Our upbeat classes will ensure you are boosting your fitness, getting a top workout, and having a great time!

Benefits

They’ll help you lose weight, get stronger and improve your fitness too, without putting much strain through your joints. This makes them great for people with mobility issues as the water supports the joints, allowing you to get stronger without putting yourself at risk of injury, as well as helping recover from injury.

Places on our aqua classes can be booked up to seven days in advance. Members please use either the mobile app, members portal or telephone 01246 242 365. Non-members must book their place at reception.

Aqua Fun

Fun in the pool

Aqua Fun

What is it?

Shoot down the flume at speed splashing into the water beneath, or tackle the giant inflatable obstacle course in our main pool.

Aqua Fun: Our flume, inflatable and mats are available for people to use and enjoy. Please queue and collect coloured bands at reception for these sessions. Entry may be restricted due to pool maximum bather load. For safety reasons users of the pool inflatable must be a competent swimmer and lifeguards have the discretion to restrict use.

Family Swim and Flume:This session is aimed at families with our flume and general swimming available.

Younger swimmers can play in our small pool which offers an exciting range of mats. Please note that age and height restrictions may apply.

Aqua Jog

What is it?

Benefits: you get all the benefits of running, but with no impact so it preserves your joints, especially your knees. The pressure of the water helps your heart pump blood around your body, burning more fat and toning your muscles faster than land-based exercises. Bookings

Places can be booked up to seven days in advance. Members please use either the mobile app or members portal. Non-members will need to visit reception to pay some money onto an account to be able to book classes. Once you have done this then you will receive a unique ID enabling you to book classes via the mobile app or members portal.

Please remember if you need to cancel any of the classes you have booked this must be done at least 90 minutes prior to the start of the class if you cannot attend. If you miss two classes within 30 days this will result in you being unable to book online and will have to do this in person at reception.

Parties

What is it?

Swim, Splash and Slide - You have exclusive use of the large and small pool and access to the flume, mats, balls and inflatables. These parties are restricted to 30 children and are available on Saturday’s 3-3.45pm, 4-4.45pm, 5-5.45pm (please note that food cannot be offered on the last option).

We can also provide food for your party (excluding birthday cake) as an individual party bag containing a sandwich, babybell, frube, raisin bag, mini chocolate bar, bag of pom bear crisps, together with jugs of water, blackcurrant and orange squash at a cost of £4.50 per person. Parties are available to book in one hour slots. A 50% non-refundable deposit will be required to confirm a booking. This needs to be paid at reception. The remaining amount and any party food must be paid for at least seven-days prior to the date of the party.

Pool Hire

What is it?

You can hire either of our pools (25m x 6 lane or 8m x 5m) for parties, group bookings or private hire in one-hour slots (45 minutes in the pool and 15 minutes to get showered and changed). We also have a large inflatable and mats available for your party to enjoy at extra cost.

Public Swimming

What is it?

Whether you want to get fit and healthy, relax with a gentle swim, have some family fun or learn a life saving skill, we have something for everyone.

Our two pools (a 25m six-lane main pool and 8m x 5m teaching pool) have a diverse and exciting pool programme ranging from public swims, fun sessions, adult only and lane swimming. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 16 years or above in any of our pools.

Please note that under 3s go free with fee paying adult and we are operating our normal pool timetables.

Public Swim: A session ideal for all swimmers. Enjoy a relaxing swim where you can set your own pace without the restrictions of lanes.
Lane Swimming: Swimming is a great all round exercise whatever your ability and you can set your own pace in these dedicated sessions.
Fitness Swim: Provides everything you need to motivate, challenge and support you to reach your fitness goals. Whether that's to lose weight, to tone, to improve technique or just to become fitter and stronger. We have 30 session cards ranging from 10 to 120 lengths displayed pool side, so there is a card available for all abilities and fitness levels. Or take part in one of our Go! Swim Fitness sessions on a Monday morning or Wednesday evening.

Swimming Lessons

What is it?

Teacher led learn to swim programme following the Swim England learn to swim pathway. From beginners to competition standard, our lessons are based on continuous assessment to help build confidence and strength in the water, whilst also giving you a life skill. All lessons are undertaken by our fully qualified ASA teachers and participants receive badges and certificates at every stage through the scheme. The cost is £25 per month via Direct Debit and for more information please refer to our terms and conditions.

Children

Lessons for children start from post natal with our introduction to water and run right through various pathways to competition standard. Children will work their way through the various stages building water confidence, learning new skills such as treading water and aquatic breathing and then performing and perfecting different strokes.

For our swimming lessons, we use Course Pro. This is a system where you can monitor progress, receive feedback from the instructors and ask any questions or queries you may have at the touch of a button.
